My name is Javaughn Marshall and I'm just an average guy that God is using to do things much bigger than I could ever do on my own. I am a Student Ministry Pastor, husband to the ever-so-lovely Alexandria, third-year theology student at Regent University, founder of Twenties Multi-Media, recording artist and spoken word poet. I wear many hats, but none of this could've ever been accomplished without God.
"In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us. "
Titus 2:7-8 NIV
|| SPOKEN WORD ||
Spoken Word began to grow on me when I transitioned into college. I realized that there was a large group of people that I couldn't reach due to their lack of interest in hip-hop and being in churches. I realized that I could push the same message that I push in music, just without the instruments and reach an entire new demographic. Below is my most popular spoken word, and the one that is closest to my heart - You are Beautiful.
|| MINISTRY ||
I didn't grow up Christian. I faced some of my biggest life trials throughout grade school, and I wished for a savior to bring me through it all. It took a while for me to find that savior, even though he stood beside me through every moment. God called me to youth ministry to find those lost students and bring them to the savior that they need. I love partnering with local schools and communities to bring hope to the current and next generation of students that feel like they've been given up on. Below is a message on how God can give you more than you can handle.
|| MUSIC ||
Music has been a passion for me since I was 9 years old. It started with writing music and rapping over the sound of my CD player to releasing full-length projects including my debut album Awaken the Moment which is available on all major media apps like iTunes and Spotify. I was featured in the Mid-Michigan News for my first full project, Open Door EP and have been driven to not only express myself through music but also spread the good news in the process. Below is a song called "Won't Fall Back".
